DC-based non-profit Citizen Effect has opened in Detroit to help people support causes they believe in by utilizing their platform which leverages social media and networks. Detroit4Detroit is looking to recruit 150 micro-fundraisers who will raise money for area nonprofits. One thing I like alot about their model is that 100% of the money goes to the cause, with no overhead and because these are donations, no interest. Check out this video and consider getting involved.
