The Feedom-Freedom Growers began in 2008 in order to address community needs and grow community institutions that were otherwise being dismissed. It started as a single garden bed, and has grown to large parcels of land, as well as within the hearts and minds of the Manistique community.

    From the Grassroots

    Feedom Freedom is one of the most significant grassroots organizing projects in the city. People are coming out of their homes and joining in the gardening and the neighborhood conversation. This should be their most successful season yet.
